Citizen of the Year Awards Ceremony 2013

The Oakley Chamber of Commerce held its Citizen of the Year award ceremony at Oakley City Hall on June 25th. Local and state government officials, along with many citizens, turned out to support our distinguished residents. Debbie Robertson seemed to be a particularly popular choice for Citizen of the Year.

Oakley Chamber Mixer January 2013

The Oakley Chamber of Commerce held the January mixer at its Main Street offices and introduced the 2013 Board of Directors. Taquiza Limon, one of Oakley’s newer businesses, donated the food. Everyone admired the new Website Benefits Brochure. The biggest winner of the evening was Diane Lasher of Di’s Impressions, who took home three raffle prizes. (Rumor has it she headed out to buy a lottery ticket when she left.)

Breakfast with the Mayor January 7th, 2013

Members of the Oakley Chamber of Commerce met with two-term mayor Kevin Romick at the Chamber offices to eat Lynn Stahli’s breakfast casserole and discuss road construction, basketball tournaments, the Carol Lane housing complex (officially known as The Commons at Oak Grove), the public library, and the Chamber’s plans for 2013.
