CITY OF OAKLEY
SIGN ORDINANCE PUBLIC
WORK SHOP
The City of Oakley Planning Department is in the process of drafting a new Sign Ordinance. The Sign Ordinance will replace the Contra Costa County Sign Ordinance that is currently being used. The City of Oakley Planning Department will be holding a public work shop to explain the differences between the current and proposed sign ordinance, and to gather comments, suggestions, and feedback from the business owners in the City of Oakley. The City of Oakley values its Business Community and looks forward to meeting and hearing from you.
Project Description: This is a City-initiated amendment to the Oakley Municipal Code to add a new Chapter to Zoning Ordinance “Signs and Outdoor Advertising”. The amendment will establish zoning regulations for wall signs, freestanding signs, freeway signs, and temporary signs. The regulations establish a permitting process for permitted, temporary and exempt signs. The new regulations will establish criteria for sign height, square footage, and locations in which signs may be permitted.
