The Bingo committee is examining the possibility of establishing a regular Bingo night in Oakley as a source of funds for the Chamber and entertainment for Oakley residents.

Brown Bag Lunch with the Mayor

Finds member businesses to host the Brown Bag Lunch with the Mayor meetings on the first Monday of every month. Lunch with the Mayor provides an opportunity for local business owners and interested citizens to meet with Oakley's mayor in an informal setting, to raise any concerns they have and learn about the latest developments in the city's projects.

Business Workshops

This committee seeks to start an annual one-day "Starting and Growing Your Business" workshop, featuring sessions on topics such as permits and licenses, choosing a business entity, contracts, business taxes, hiring employees and subcontractors, marketing, and social media and the Internet.

Chamber Mixers

This committee is in charge of finding hosts for our monthly mixers, normally held on the second Thursday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Contact the chamber office if you are interested in hosting a mixer.

Citizen of the Year

The members of this committee are in charge of organizing the Citizen of the Year Awards Banquet.Nominate your candidate for Citizen of the Year now!

Farmers Market

This committee is exploring the possibility of establishing a Farmers' Market in Oakley.

Government Affairs

The City of Oakley and the Oakley Chamber of Commerce are committed to working closely together. The City sends a liaison to Chamber board meetings, and the Chamber sends a representative to City Council meetings.


The Membership Committee exists to recruit new members to the Chamber, encourage former members to rejoin, and to survey existing members to find out how the Chamber can better serve their needs.

Poker Tournament

On April 6th, the Oakley Chamber will hold a poker tournament fundraiser at the Red Men/Pocahontas Hall. Jane Crockett is the official liaison from the Hall; Lynn Stahli and Cindy Thomas from Wine Shop at Home are organizing the event.

Quarterly Luncheons

At least once each quarter, the Chamber of Commerce invites a speaker to address its members on a topic relevant to business owners. If you are a restaurant owner and a Chamber member and would like to host a quarterly luncheon, contact the Chamber office at (925) 625-1035 and let us know.

Relay For Life

Relay for Life Oakley takes place on May 18th, 2013. The Oakley Chamber's Relay for Life committee serves to help raise funds and enlist team members for this event.


Every year the Oakley Chamber offers a $500 scholarship to the winner of an essay contest. The contest is open to seniors at Freedom High School. Details will be available soon, along with information on contributing to the scholarship fund.

The Website and Social Media Committee is responsible for building, maintaining and updating the Oakley Chamber of Commerce website, as well as establishing a presence for the Oakley Chamber on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google+.
